This uncirculated violin bow, made by William Watson, was made shortly after leaving the employment of W.E. Hill & Sons in 1962. The beautiful polished tortoise-shell frog is mounted with gold Parisian eyes, gold fittings, whale-bone grip and beautiful round Pernambuco stick. This is a true collector's bow, and even still has the original hair. A new rehair is offered with the sale, but some collectors may wish to have the bow left in the absolute original condition with original hair. The weight is 61.9 grams. Because this bow has components made from tortoise-shell and whale baleen, this bow cannot be carried or shipped outside of the United States. The purchaser of this bow should never travel internationally with this bow for fear of confiscation at any number of customs checkpoints. hillcollection
