I first became interested in violin making when I met my wife (a violinist and violist) in college. In 1996, after a dozen years as a civil engineer and eight years working part time in the family’s violin shop, I entered the Chicago School of Violin Making. There I studied under Rebecca Elliott and Tschu Ho Lee. I am currently based in the Chicago area, where I make violins, violas and cellos.
