Sweet, brilliant, direct
This French violin was made around 1890 and the maker is unknown.
The violin has a beautiful, dark, reddish-brown varnish. Its two-piece back has figure slanting upwards from the center joint to the edges and an interesting shield motif inlay under the button.
This violin has a sweet, sparkling sound with a robust lower register.
Inside label reads:
