Georges Michel is a commercial brand for Mirecourt violins made in the late 20th century to the present. This violin was made by Aubert Lutherie in 2015.
This violin has golden, red-brown varnish. The top has prominent grain that widens towards the middle joint. The two-piece back has handsome figure slanting downwards from the center joint to the bouts. The scroll has delicately blacked chamfers.
Well-suited for solo or orchestral playing, this is a powerful instrument that can easily play many genres. The tone is sparkling, broad, and open.
