Fernando Fagundes was born in Curitiba (Paraná), in 1990. Graduated with a degree in Music from the State University of Paraná in 2011. Specialization in Artistic Language from Faculdade Santa Marcelina, São Paulo, in 2012.
 

He began his training as a luthier at Ateliê de Luteria Rogério Fagundes, São Paulo, in 2015. He graduated at the Istituto Internazionale Antonio Stradivari in Cremona (Italy), in the Luttery Course, under the guidance of Giorgio Scolari, Dario Occhipinti and Alessandro Voltini in 2019.
 

Internship at the studio of Maestro Filippo Fasser, the main representative of Brescia luteria, in Brescia, in the years 2018 and 2019. And in Cremona, at the studio Restauro – Arte Liutaria, under the supervision of Maestro Jens G. Johansson, in 2019.
 

He was awarded a gold medal, in the category of antichizzato violin (antiqued violin), at the 1st Concorso Internazionale di Luteria “Andrea Postacchini – Alessandro Roccuci” by the Centro Culturale Antiqua Marca Firmana Fermo Italy in 2019.
 

At the 10th Concorso Internazionale de Liuteria “Sesto Fiorentino”, in Italy in 2019, Fernando Fagundes is awarded 2nd place in violin antichizzato (antiqued violin) and 3rd place violoncello antichizzato (antiqued cello), he also receives the main prize of the Instrument of Miglior Suono (best sound).
 

He currently works at Ateliê de Luteria Rogério Fagundes, located in the city of São Paulo, working in the construction, restoration and acoustic harmonization of violins, violas and cellos. His work is expressed through Cremonese and Brescian lutherie, standing out for his antique techniques applied to his instruments.
