This uncirculated violin bow, made by Arthur R. Bultitude, was made in 1973.  The beautiful polished tortoise-shell frog is mounted with Bultitude's signature inlaid gold Tudor Roses, chased (engraved) gold fittings, whale-bone grip and beautiful round Pernambuco stick.  This is a true collector's bow, and even still has the original  hair from 1973.  A new rehair is offered with the sale, but some collectors may wish to have the bow left in the absolute original condition with original hair.  The weight is 61.9 grams.  Because this bow has components made from tortoise-shell and whale baleen, this bow cannot be carried or shipped outside of the United States.  The purchaser of this bow should never travel internationally with this bow for fear of confiscation at any number of customs checkpoints.  hillcollection
