Stefano Trabucchi 2022 Cremona Italy
Vibrant, playable, colorful
Born in Sondrio on February 5th, 1970 in a family of musicians, Trabucchi began studying the violin at the age of eight. Charmed by the construction of the violin, he enrolled at the International School of Violinmaking in Cremona: he attended the four-year course under the guidance of masters Negroni, Amighetti and Conia, graduating in 1988 with honors. In the same year he entered the workshop of Maestro Nolli in Cremona where he deepened and perfected his skills, later opening his own workshop in the center of Cremona. Since 2010 he has held the position of president of the luthiers’ group of Confartigianato imprese – of which he is also the provincial vice-president – a group that counts over 80 registered master craftsmen. His violins, violas and cellos are made entirely by hand following the knowledge and techniques of the ancient luthiers of Cremona.

The violin is covered with a lovely golden orange varnish that is shaded and darkened, revealing a golden ground.
