This 4/4 Heinrich Gill violin has a robust, complex, bright sound. The sound is even across all four strings.
This violin bears an interior holographic sticker, and a printed label that reads:
Bubenreuth fecit anno 2014
The back is formed from two pieces of quarter-cut maple, marked by medium width flame, which slants slightly downward from the center joint. The wood on the ribs and scroll is similar to that of the back. The grain of the two-piece spruce top is straight and narrow, widening slightly towards the flanks. There is some wood figuring on the upper bass end of instrument.
The violin is covered with reddish-brown varnish, over a warm, golden-brown ground. The varnish is shaded by the maker. This instrument is in new condition.
