Description:

This violin has a pleasantly mellow, warm and sweet sound, which is even across all four strings.

The back is formed from two pieces of quarter-cut maple, marked by narrow-width flame, which slants downward from the center joint toward the flanks. The wood of the ribs and scroll matches that of the back. The two-piece spruce top has straight, very narrow-width grain that widens toward the flanks. The instrument is covered with a dark brown varnish, which is shaded to reveal a golden brown ground. The violin is in very good condition.
